Wild Thörn are a rock band from the north east of England with members located in Gateshead, Teesside and County Durham.
Formed by Ash Robertson the band began playing on the north east music scene in 2014 and have since played extensively around the UK. The lineup features Ash's brother Elliott Robertson on drums, Kiko Rivers (ex Black Rose UK) on bass and Sean J Tempest (Avenger) on rhythm and lead guitar!
Inspirations
Inspired by bands like Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Foo Fighters, Van Halen, Queen and Motorhead the band have supported artists such as Reckless Love from Finland, Thunder Mother from Sweden, Knock Out Kaine from Lincolnshire, Deathstars from Sweden and ex Iron Maiden / Wolfsbane singer Blaze Bayley.
Recently
The band recently announced a brand new EP called “Fallout”. The single “Hurricane Queen” from “Fallout” has received airplay on a variety of local, national and global digital online radio stations. The EP recorded at Blank Studios Newcastle and Horn-Tech Studios Durham features 5 brand new tracks “Hurricane Queen”, “Living In A Nightmare”, “4 Minute Warning”, “Out There and a re- recorded symphonic version of the bands power ballad “Lonely Again”. The new EP has artwork designed and created by the amazing Andy Pilkington of Heavy Metal Art. Andy’s previous work includes bands such as Skindred, Tygers of Pan Tang, Fury UK and KK’s Priest to name but a few. The EP has been mixed and mastered by the bands lead guitarist Sean J Tempest.
The band most recently played at the Hard Rock Hell Sleaze fest at the 02 Academy Sheffield and again at the Hard Rock Hell Spring Break fest Vauxhall Holiday Park, Great Yarmouth.
